I'm not sure where the term Lazy Days of Summer comes from, because ours have been anything but lazy. We did swimming lessons a few weeks ago. Kaitlyn and Carsen both did great! Carsen was in the mom and me class but was asking to go off the diving board the first day of class. He didn't get to go on the first day, but that is all he did the last two days. Kaitlyn is getting more and more confident each time. She like to have googles that help her put her face in the water.
We made some homemade finger paints that kept us busy on the really hot days, and the kids really like to make their own lunch. Turkey or ham sandwichs with pickles and mustard are their favorite! A few trips to Grandma and Grandpa's were also nice too. The kids love the swing the in the front yard, and helping get veggies from the garden and feeding the cows and chickens.
We also got to go to Pocatello for Macee's blessing, and then ventured up to IF to see some friends we had a great time. We went to the splash park in Rexburg and rode the carasel and had some Reed's Dairy Ice cream...YUMMY! It was a blast.
We also got a quick camping trip in with our friends. It was perfect. We went to Water's Edge in Cascade, got a spot right by the river with Kyacks and canoes to use...and my favorite...showers and bathrooms!! The kids played in the sand and water all day. They got a little fishing in too. We are so glad the Prices came with us! It was worth all the dirty laundry! :)
We have had a great summer and hope you have too! Kaitlyn starts school next week! We will keep you posted! :)
